About Us...

Greg Milner is founder and CEO of Worldwide Salon Marketing. Greg is a former Executive Producer of Television News, and admits to a middle-aged penchant for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He has been a regular contributor of lifestyle, adventure, motoring and boating articles for magazines including Playboy, Australian Women's Forum, Wheels and the Australian Color Magazine.

In 1996 Greg left television and began studying - and teaching - direct response marketing. Among his clients was a salon specializing in facial treatments and cosmetic tattooing. He soon realized there was a need for an 'off-the-shelf' marketing kit for all salons, and began searching the world for a product that would fit the bill.

But there was nothing - anywhere - which contained industry-specific ads, sales letters and in-salon sales coaching. There were plenty of 'generic' marketing packages available, but none where the laborious work of writing all the necessary advertising, direct mail, newsletters etc was already done for the salon owner.

Greg's worldwide search led to the development of the Essential Salon Owner's Marketing Toolkit. It was launched at the Sydney International Beauty Expo in September 2004, and quickly spread throughout Australia and around the world. In just a few months, the Toolkit was being used by scores of salons in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the USA.
Development of the Toolkit led, in February 2005, to the incorporation of Worldwide Salon Marketing Pty Ltd, based in Perth, Western Australia.

Jill Groves (right) was a leading trade coordinator and sales guru with international trade exchange Bartercard when Greg poached her to work with him on development of the Toolkit.
Jill immediately set to work researching and writing "Selling with Energy", which has become the industry-standard manual for in-salon sales techniques. 'Selling with Energy' forms a key component of the Toolkit, and is in the process of being turned into a four-volume training film on DVD.

Jill is a key member of the Worldwide Salon Marketing team and is responsible for coordinating marketing seminars & coaching salon owners and staff on their sales methods.

George Slater (left) may look like a respectable businessman in a suit, but he's actually the world's best-dressed technical guru. George was formerly with Oracle, and is now responsible for our Membership website, as well as all that back-end stuff about online payments that nobody else can understand. George is also responsible for building websites for our Toolkit members - websites that are guaranteed to bring a steady stream of new clients. 

Jemma Lole is our "Copywriting Queen", and editor of Lip Goss, our 'done-for-you' client newsletter (for salons and spas to send to their own clients).

Jemma is a Canadian-born New Zealander who has emigrated to Australia. She is available for specific copywriting tasks for salons and spas, including flyers, ads and brochures.
