Beauty Business Card Salon, What You Want From A Business Card

Beauty Business Card Salon

Here you will find links to places where you can both design and order your salon business cards and other stationery online,

and have them delivered to your door, no matter where you are.

But first, a word of caution – this is a site devoted to salon marketing that works, right? (If you’ve landed here without

visiting anywhere else on the site, please be our guest and have a snoop around…particularly our Free 7-Step Fast-Start Salon Marketing Mini Course, and the world’s only purpose-built salon marketing tool, the Essential Salon Owner’s Marketing Toolkit.)

Most people in business regard the humble business card as little more than ‘something to remember me by’ – but in fact, it

can and should be used as a powerful marketing tool.

So before you head off to the sites listed below to design your beauty salon business card, think about this:

Your business card is often the only thing your prospective customer has to remind them of you. So

1) Use the back of the card, not just the front. It’s all valuable real estate.

2) On the back of the card, put an offer. Not a discount, an offer such as a reward for referrals.

3) On the front of the card, put your photo. Yes, your photo. A great big smiling shot of YOU. Why? Because people want

to do business with people, not some faceless entity. People remember people, they don’t tend to remember meaningless

pictures of models with swan-like necks, eyes blissfully closed, getting a massage or a facial. YOU are the face of your

business, so use it. After all, often the only real difference between you and your competitors is you. You are the brand.

4) Put your contact details in BIG writing. Why make people squint to find your number?

5) Make your card BOLD – outlandish colours, big type face, maybe an odd shaped card…heart shaped, square, even a round

one. Even better, have it made into a fridge magnet. Anything to make your card easy to find.

6) Put a web address on it, if you have a website.

7) Hint: Do NOT suggest they look you up in the Yellow Pages. That’s where all your competitors are!

Here are some links where you can go and actually design your card online, and then order it and have it delivered to you.

About the Author...
For nearly 19 years, Greg was Executive Producer of News for Channels 7 & 9. Since 1996 he's advised and coached large and small companies on their public relations and marketing strategies. In 2004, one of those clients was a salon owner who complained there were no 'off-the-shelf' tools for the salon and spa industry to help them get more clients, and increase their average client spend. Later that year, Greg and salon sales specialist Jill Groves launched the Essential Salon Owner's Marketing Toolkit. By mid-2006, these simple tools were being used profitably by 587 salons and spas in 14 countries.  Click for more information
